CJP, Subah Ho Gayi Mamu..??

--

“The most dangerous form of blindness is believing that your perspective is the only reality” ... Fredrich Nietzsche.

“Rules are for children. This is war, and in war the only crime is to lose.”, Joe Abercrombie

“Believe the best about the young people you lead, and offer direction to them out of wisdom, not fear.” … Tim Elmore

"The biggest mistake a leader can do, is taking the followers granted"… Me.

Well, I need not have to explain the subject of sharing as most of you must have got the flair from the quotes, though no one can beat Nietzsche when it comes to be bang on target about human behaviour, Abercrombie & Elmore tells us about handling the youth & my words just sum up the outcome. Yes, it’s about CJP (no need to google also) & it is about the present scenario of the society of our country & it is more about the take away for me (on personal front) as well for the society or say Boomers (you can google this)! First and foremost (disclaimer one), I neither propagate nor condemn Mr Abhijit Dipke & not necessarily I am in sync with his or CJP’s demands as philosophy yet they have to format. At the same time, I am not speaking for the present rulers or opposition or say any political party because “Muze to sabhi political logoki shakle sariki dikhti hai” (courtesy Salim Javed & Bachchan, check Sholay)!  I am just sharing as my understanding of the whole episode (yes as its first episode as Mr Dipke has said, and many more to follow) & what I myself need to learn from it as well what we can as a society, so its readers choice to make their own conclusions!

Exactly on 16th May, a twit (X platform) came from a young man who was in USA then & it says we have formed CJP i.e. Cockroach Janta Party & it’s in response to comment from Hon Supreme Court’s Chief Justice where he termed jobless youths of our country as Cockroaches! In one day, there were more followers to this account than most of the celebrities in the world & the country, which is normal because that’s how this new generation or today’s world is. Just like in Pune, any new restaurant or eating joint draws a huge crowd, some social media accounts also follow the trend! What was uncommon is what happened post that as our MaiBapp govt got agitated with this social media party & tried to block its accounts & just the name suggests the CJP accounts kept popping with different identities! And then the NEET paper leaked (plz google about NEET) & Dipke used CJP social media, to demand resignation of the Central Education Minister itself over this paper leak, agitating Mai Baap govt further more. In the month of June Mr Dipke declared that he is returning to his home country & will start a protest in real world on behalf of CJP, demanding resignation of union Edu minister, in Delhi at JantarMantar which is activists/ protesters hotspot! This too was slightly abnormal but in a country which has been formed on protests from the common men, is still normal! In the meantime NEET paper leak crime’s inquiry was on, many people got arrested, a new date for NEET was declared, again lakhs of students appeared & cleared, so the govt as well as the media thought the resignation issue is finished as the cause itself has been gone. Dipke & his, some hundred odd buddies kept on protesting for resignation as well compensation for the lost lives of students because of cancelled NEET exam, & slowly even the media’s interest faded. Then one Mr Wangchuk, a simple common man turned activist from Ladakh joined the protest of these youths declaring Hunger strike till death unless these youths's demands are not met! This too is common, as in recent times there have also been men & women going for hunger strike for their respective demands from govt, so the hunger strike went on. When the health of Mr Wangchuk deteriorated, court intervened, and govt decided to step in & stop this hunger strike as after all Mr Wangchuk has international identity & govt can’t accept its defamation right or wrong from such single person’s hunger strike, especially when our Hon PM is busy in portraying country’s image across the globe as best society & country leading the world on right path of life! And the govt decided to stop Mr Wangchuk’s hunger strike by any means & even changed the bureaucracy which was responsible for handling this, and this too is normal as that’s how govts’ act!

So, the police reached at Janta Mantar, lifted up (literally) Mr. Wangchuk, put him in a van & took to a hospital to break his hunger strike & got thought the job is done in normal way! And what happened after this is not just abnormal but a tsunami, which is the subject of my sharing! As this action by govt was like throwing a burning matchstick in a store, full of firecrackers & within no time the firework started, which no body expected! Have you ever witnessed any such fire where a shop or storage of firecrackers starts bursting as here, there is no set pattern of firework, any type of fire crackers takes any path & bursts in its own way. If you think this is a weird analogy then check Insta or any social media & look what happened during last week at not just Jantar Mantar but the fire spread all across the cities & towns as every youth was on road to protest, demanding release of Wangchuk & resignation of education Minister. This is the generation which we have discarded as useless, lazy, lost in the virtual world, not keeping in tune with reality, (nikamme in Hindi) & what not! No-body believed, definitely not the govt, that these youths can actually hit the road & protest without fear, more furiously than any political or social party! And do mind, none of them were associated with any political party, many of them even didn't know what a Union Minister is & might of the Central govt, rather they cared a damn about it & this is what the govt failed to understand. Sometimes, when you don’t know your enemy’s power & yet go all guns to fight with him, it's good as then you fight without fear while the enemy is caught surprised & in any war surprises can be the most lethal weapon which happened at Jantar Mantar, is my subject of sharing!

The tactics such as using police force, jamming the internet, even blocking roads & closing public transport & such, which the govt used were age old & this generation didn’t bother & found a way to beat govt on every front. Most importantly, the govt till the end didn’t understand with whom they are actually fighting as Wangchuk represents Hoopers (plz google) while those who were fighting for him are of his grandchildren’s age. Actually, this class’s parents are mostly supporters of the ruling govt, these all were educated kids (mostly) & yet they showed their displeasure (not anger) towards govt not because they support or oppose any party but they are tired of the system which they think just doesn’t care about their future! This is something the govt in ruling & the govt’s in future must take note of, as when the unrest surfaced in our neighbouring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh or SriLanka, our leaders & even the seniors in the society said, it’s because of the small size of these countries, it happened. Such kind of protests are not possible in a country where the population of youth is nearly fifty crores plus! But, this is where we fail to understand the basics of nature as we can’t take anybody or anything granted especially categorizing on things like numbers, age, wealth or education! Many of these protesters don't even think that what difference resignation of some minister can make as that wasn’t the issue anymore, they just wanted the govt named system to listen to their cry & the only way this cry can stop was resignation! It’s just the way when a small kid demands something & doesn’t stop till it gets that thing & whatever you do wont buzz that kid from giving away his demand, this is something the govt failed to understand as it has never encountered such an opponent!

Though this is an alarm sign, as the protest & successful end of it by making the minister resign is now the kid knows if it cries with full guns then the parents (MaiBaap govt) gives up & fulfils kid’s demand, however absurd it may be! I am not judging whether resignation was right or wrong though one thing is sure, our education system needs to be reformed as on one side there are millions of jobs vacant & on other side there are billions of youths are unemployed, means something is seriously wrong! The job seeker thinks he is being offered very less & the job giver thinks the candidate is not worth of what he or she is expecting as salary, is the scene! At the same time govt schools are struggling for getting enough numbers of students & on other side every day some new private school with fat fee packages are opening, even in small towns! Here if the private medical colleges are calling students with fee structure going beyond budget of even high-income parents, then on other hand NEET giving numbers are crossing seven-digit figures. And even if you become a doctor, decent earning seems a faraway sight! The same story is about every trade & with Western countries tightening their noose for jobs for outsiders (especially Indians) that option is also not easy now & all this frustration rather fear, got reflected at Jantar Mantar, & that is outcome of the present & past govt’s ignorance towards the education system at large, is what I feel! On personal front, I also learned my lesson (at govt’s cost), & that is, never be ignorant however the comfort zone you are in & never take any segment of your business garnets, may it be client, market or luck, always be vigilant & don’t let your ego clash with your profession! Though the journey ahead will be more difficult because of one main characteristics of Gen Z that is, lack of consistency & its because lack of focus or patience, which doesn’t even wait for twenty seconds on the social media! To keep this force engaged & on right track for long isn’t an easy job & that’s not possible without some organized structure in place, is what I feel, which will be the real challenge for CJP!

Coming to the hero ( or villain, whatever you may call) of the script Abhijit Dipke, who himself may not be a GenZ guy but if you ask me what’s special about him ,well my answer is, do you know Bhagirath, Gautam Buddha, Sir Isac Newton, Shivaji Maharaj, Savarkar & Mahatma Gandhi & what's common thing in all these/ They dared to take on the system, to challenge the belief of the society & they  didn’t wait for someone else to take the lead but came forward & stood in front by themselves, this is what twenty nine year old Abhijit Dipke did & that’s why for me, he is special. I may not agree to all his statements or views but I can’t stop respecting his courage as how many people would have gaveup comforts of USA & dared to sit on streets of Delhi (literally) without any support & demand resignation of a union minister, none, take my word none, that’s why he is special! And if you disagree with me, then look what Abhijit & his Bros’ did, apart from taking resignation of some minister, they made every opposition party in the country to declare support to CJP because CJP did which none of them combined could do, & that is, to unite the youths & make them hit the streets without any paid benefits! In today’s world even for campaigning of Lok Sabha seats with an in-power party’s ticket, also requires money to gather karyakartas’ & here, millions protested for no reward, not even demanding any in any form, that’s what Dipke did & that’s why he is special! For his & CJP, the journey ahead will be more interesting as today its education system’s some part like NEET but its tip of the iceberg, there is a lot to be improved & for that just protests won’t be enough. Abhijit, if you ever read this piece then do mind, even your idol, Babasaheb could change the fate of Dalits only by joining the govt & not by just protests, as to change the system you have to become the system, is the right way! Last but not least, all kudos to Abhijit’s parents because imagine their young son alone taking on the entire Indian govt, what they must have gone through! Today, all those who raise banners of Shivaji Maharaj & Shri Ram & Ambedkar, but how many of them can see their own son or daughter living by the path which these people have walked on, can any of us do that, ask this question to ourselves & may there be many more Abhijits’ in this country in every field, as then only there is some still hope, adios with this note!
